Social media management tool

A social media management tool is software that lets you plan, publish, review and measure your posts across all your accounts from one place instead of one app per network.

Managing social media means more than hitting publish. Someone writes the post, someone checks it, someone picks the day, and later someone asks how it did. When each of those steps lives in a different app or a shared spreadsheet, things get missed.

SocialPatra brings the steps into one workspace. You connect your accounts, write once, schedule on a shared calendar, route posts through an approval step when you need one, and review results afterwards. Agencies get a separate workspace per client, so one login can run many brands without mixing them up.

Below is what the tool covers, how a typical week runs in it, and what to check when you choose any social media management software.

What a social media management tool should cover

The label covers a wide range of products, so it helps to be concrete. A complete social media management tool handles five jobs: creating posts, scheduling and publishing them, collaborating on them, organising the assets behind them, and measuring what happened.

SocialPatra covers each of them. The table shows where each job lives in the product.

A week of social media management in SocialPatra

  1. Monday: draft the week. Open AI Studio, paste an idea or an article link, and edit the draft written for each account. Or write the posts yourself in the composer.
  2. Tuesday: schedule and route. Pick the accounts and a time in your workspace timezone. If the post needs sign-off, it is saved as a draft and waits for a reviewer.
  3. Wednesday: review and approve. Reviewers are notified in the app and by email. They approve, reject with a reason or ask for changes, and approved posts are scheduled for their time.
  4. Through the week: watch the calendar. Move a post to another day by dragging it on the calendar. It keeps its time of day, and only the date changes.
  5. Friday: look at what worked. On a paid plan, review reach and engagement across your accounts and decide what to repeat next week.

Built for teams and for agencies managing many clients

Each client or brand gets its own workspace, so posts, accounts and drafts never mix. Roles, approvals and activity logs are kept per workspace, and you switch between workspaces from one login.

A client does not need a SocialPatra account for you to manage their accounts: you send a connect link and they authorize their own accounts on each platform’s screen. When a client does want a say, invite them as an approver. They can review and approve posts and see content and analytics, and nothing else.

You can also share a preview link of a post with a client before it goes out.

Automation built into the management tool

Management gets lighter when repetitive posting runs itself. Recurring posts repeat on a daily, weekly or monthly pattern. RSS auto-posting turns new items from a feed into drafts or live posts. Bulk scheduling creates a month of posts from one CSV after checking every row.

Technical teams can go further with a REST API and a hosted MCP server on paid plans, so scripts and AI assistants can work inside the same workspace the rest of the team uses.

How to choose social media management software

Whichever tool you evaluate, a few questions separate a good fit from an expensive habit.

  • Does it publish to every place your audience actually is, including the blog or community, not only the big social networks?
  • Can you require approval before a post is scheduled, and can a client approve without being able to edit your calendar?
  • How does the price grow with the number of accounts, clients and team members? Work out your own total, not the headline number.
  • Is there a free plan or a trial that lets you connect a real account before you commit?
  • Can you get your content in and out in bulk, through a spreadsheet or an API?
  • Does it keep clients separate, so one mistake never lands on the wrong brand?

SocialPatra prices a workspace as a base plan plus a monthly price for each extra account, so the cost follows the number of accounts you manage. The pricing page shows current prices for your country.
