Client post preview links
A client post preview link is a private web address that shows one scheduled post to someone without a SocialPatra account. They can read the post and leave comments, and nothing is published from that page.
Plan: Free and up
Clients do not want another login. A preview link opens a clean page with the post as it will go out, so they can read it and react on their phone.
The link is for feedback, not sign-off. A client who needs to approve a post does that as an approver with an account.
What your client sees
- The post preview with your workspace name and the scheduled time.
- One card per platform, with the text and media for that platform.
- Earlier comments, and a form to add one with a name and up to 2,000 characters. They can quote the part of the text they mean.
- A note that the page is read-only and nothing is published from it.
A link that is expired, revoked or wrong shows the same "no longer available" message, so it never confirms whether a post exists. The page is not indexed by search engines.
What you control
- Revoke a link at any time.
- Keep up to 20 active links on one post, for example one per stakeholder.
- Read the comments next to the post and mark each one resolved when you have dealt with it.
- Get a notification in the app when someone comments.
Public links are rate limited, and each link accepts a limited number of comments, which keeps a shared link from being used to flood a post.
What preview links do not do
- They do not approve a post. Approval needs a signed-in approver, covered in the approval workflow.
- They share one post, not a whole calendar.
Frequently asked questions
Does my client need an account to see a post?
No. They open the link in a browser, read the post and can leave a comment.
Can my client approve a post from the link?
No. The link is read-only plus comments. To approve, they sign in with the approver role.
Can I share a whole content calendar?
Not today. Each link shows a single post.
How long does a link work?
From 1 to 30 days as you choose, 14 by default. You can revoke it sooner.
Can I turn comments off?
Yes. Comments are on by default and you can switch them off when you create the link.
