To schedule Slack posts with SocialPatra, you add the app to your Slack workspace, write the message once, pick a date and time, and SocialPatra posts it to the channel you chose at that moment.

Slack connects the way any Slack app does: you approve it on Slack and no password changes hands. A workspace holds your channels, and each channel is a place a post can go.

Connect Slack to SocialPatra
- Add your Slack workspace. In SocialPatra open Connections and choose Slack. You are sent to Slack to approve the app for your workspace.
- Choose the channels. Back in SocialPatra, pick the channels you want to post to. Public channels can be joined for you.
- Invite the app to private channels. For a private channel, invite the app from inside Slack first. Slack does not let an app join a private channel on its own.
How to schedule a Slack message
- Pick the Slack channel in the composer. Select one channel, or several if the update goes to more than one.
- Write the message. A message can be up to 40,000 characters. Markdown is the default editor.
- Attach images or video if you want. Attach up to 10 files from your computer.
- Pick the date and time. Choose when it should be posted and save.
