Pinterest pins live on boards, so every scheduled pin needs a board. You connect your Pinterest account once, and your boards become the places you can post to.

Connect Pinterest and choose your boards
- Start the connection. In your workspace, choose to connect Pinterest. You are sent to Pinterest to sign in and allow access.
- Allow access. SocialPatra asks to read your boards and pins and to create pins for you. You never give SocialPatra your Pinterest password.
- Pick the boards. After you allow access, SocialPatra loads your boards and you choose which ones to add. Each board you add is a separate place to schedule to.
How to schedule a Pinterest pin
- Open the composer and pick a board. Choose the Pinterest board the pin should go to. A pin cannot be published without one.
- Add an image or a video. Pinterest needs media. Attach an image, several images for a multi-image pin, or one video.
- Add a title, description and link. The composer asks for a pin title. Your text becomes the pin description, and a link on the post becomes the destination link.
- Pick the date and time. Choose when the pin should go live and save it.
Pinterest does not take a publish time from SocialPatra. SocialPatra keeps the pin and sends it to your board when the time arrives.

Getting a pin ready to schedule
- Check the destination link before you save. Nobody will be at the keyboard when the pin goes live.
- Write the title and description for search. People find pins by what they type into Pinterest, so use the words they would use.
- Keep each board on one topic, and schedule to the board that fits the pin.
- Spread pins out over the week instead of publishing a batch at once.
