To schedule Discord posts with SocialPatra, you connect your Discord account, write the message once, pick a date and time, and SocialPatra sends it to the channel you chose at that moment.

Discord connects through the normal Discord authorization screen, so you never hand over a password. The server and channel are the places a post goes, and you can add more than one.

Connect Discord to SocialPatra
- Add a Discord account. In SocialPatra open Connections and choose Discord. You are sent to Discord to approve the connection.
- Pick the server. During the approval, choose the server where the SocialPatra bot should be added. You need permission to manage that server to add a bot.
- Choose your channels. Back in SocialPatra, select the text or announcement channels you want to post to. A channel outside the server you authorized is rejected.
SocialPatra renews the connection by itself, so you do not have to reconnect every few days.
How to schedule a Discord message
- Open the composer and pick the Discord channel. Select the channel account you want, or several accounts if the same announcement goes to more than one place.
- Write the message. Type up to 2,000 characters. Markdown such as bold, italics, lists and code blocks is allowed.
- Attach images or video if you need them. Attach files from your computer. Discord takes up to 10 files per message.
- Pick the date and time. Choose when it should go out and save. SocialPatra sends it at that time.
